1) Young or old. I have learned that everyone has a history and a story. My interactions with people are simply snapshots of who they are and how they got to where they are at the moment we meet. This woman did not lie or deceive me. I do not know her story or what happened to her or her room that day. She clearly needed the money or else she would not be advertising. I thought giving her a portion of the agreed fee was the human thing to do.
2) I did enter into a business arrangement with her. I spoke with her and we came to a verbal contract. The additional information I did not learn until after I entering her room led me to decide to terminate that verbal contract. I provided her partial payment, therefore, to end that arrangement. She certainly would have following through with her part of the deal. I never doubted that.
