Amen. That said, do you think it's worth circling back to the same girl the next time you visit (or a few weeks later if you go often)? I'm generally inclined to write a girl off if she gives me a stupid high quote and won't budge but maybe the next time she'll need the money more. Anyone had good luck getting better deals later after this kind of "rejection".I'll try again another day if the issue was just a too-high quote. Sometimes they remember & avoid me, more often they just try again with their standard pitch and I proceed more cautiously & more to the point, since "once bitten". I'd also wait for such a girl to approach me, rather than hunt her down or initiate.
I've had a few totally change their tune and turn into good experiences; but usually it results in just yet another unsuccessful sales call. But that's just the cost of being a strip club monger, a lot of time & energy to get something good for a fair price LOL.

Once you've committed to spending the VIP cost, and in the room draining blood from your brain to your cock, you are simply less likely to say no to high tip requests. Every stripper knows this. It's throwing good money after bad, but "in for a penny in for a pound" takes over. If you manage to say "too much," you either waste limited VIP time negotiating, or at worst she says fuck it & gives you an air dance or lame dance, or even just glares at you with shitty attitude. I know because it happened to me a lot in my first couple years.
Nowadays I negotiate on the floor, before VIP, 95% of the time. Yeah it can be awkward. But these girls are pros and get asked multiple times a day. It's not rude or embarrassing. They're not cops, so you don't have to worry about solicitation (one of the joys of strip clubs). Don't fall for "it's rude" or "embarrassing" you're not talking to your mom LOL. Have some convo to make them comfortable & express your interest, then ask. I float a low bid first, then negotiate. At worst they say I'm not that kind of girl (& I then say OK thanks but you're not what I'm looking for). It's just a business transaction not a reflection on your self-worth, so relax. Ask the next girl.
But it's your money, if you want to spend more for convenience or to avoid embarrassment or whatever, that's your choice. 5% of the time I'm weak, or circumstances make me take the risk. But if you choose to spend, you live with the choice and regretting it later is rightfully only on you (me).

You already touched on it but non-verbal negotiating involves looking attractive. Think about it, if you were a sex worker and you had a female client, wouldn't you charge the hell out of a fat, old, smelly, unattractive woman VS. A young, in-shape, yummy-smelling attractive woman? Of course because the experience is going to suck. But if she was attractive, hell you'd do it for free. I'm not saying you're unattractive I don't know you but just something to think about.
You do make a good point though. How to walk the fine line of dressing too good to where you look loaded and dressing nice. Being clean shaven, showered, smelling good keep your breath fresh and minty (seriously, floss and scrape your tongue) shouldn't even be a question, just do it. Girls complain all the time about clients' being smelly, at least make the experience more palatable for them.
I personally would dress how their ex-BFs that cheated on them would dress, LOL. Nice and clean sneakers, nice jeans, a nice hoodie or zip up, nice baseball cap. This is assuming you're 50's and below. Above 50's ditch the hoodie, zip up and baseball cap, replace with nice jacket and style your hair. Go to a woman's salon and tell them you want to look like a CEO or something LOL.
The whole point is to have fun. If you want to drop $1 k and get drunk and that's your fun then do it. My fun is having the girl really get into it while at the same time getting it for free or a deep discount LOL.

I'm surprised that you've never gotten an offer of less than $400. Maybe you're only going on busy evenings where it's more of a seller's market. If you're fine with paying that much then more power to you but otherwise I think you're making a mistake by not negotiating. Most dancers will open with a number that's higher than what they're willing to take. That's just basic negotiating strategy. I've had girls who insisted on a price twice what I was willing to pay come down to my number within a minute or two because she wants your money. You just have to be willing to walk away or to just get a non-extras dance if you're already in the VIP.
It's always better to have these discussions on the floor before you're already committed to the price of the room. I'll admit that I frequently haven't followed this rule in CoI, maybe because a few girls have balked at discussing extras in advance and maybe because I haven't really gotten burned by this (though I have had a few frustrating vanilla VIPs).

Negotiating on the floor is the only way to go. You might buy a regular dance just to have that conversation. Also the cash comes after the deed. You might show it to them but careful not any more. Another strategy is to let them know up front you just want a hot warm up tease VIP and see how that goes. If the VIP gets heated, she might offer a sample or an introductory rate. This is best on a slow daytime. Also yes to at least dressing at least a little stylish. Doesn't mean you're loaded but says you're a bit cooler than the more degenerate slobs. Have learned these things the hard way.

If you're "getting quotes" that are acceptable, are you closing the deal? If not, you're probably not getting the best price (one last counteroffer, if they say no you cave), and you're likely pissing off the dancer by wasting their time. Window shopping is bad form, and if you're going to just one club or if you're recognizable, they'll remember & avoid you or make you pay. I never ask prices unless I'll fuck her, if I say no I say the price is too high, and I reward acceptable pricing by going for it. Acceptable pricing depends on the current market, so it's great to see guys sharing current pricing.
Also, if you are closing the deal, report some intel with price and service received before asking for intel from others. That's bad form too.

However, the second time she was intoxicated and scammed me. Manager should've taken her off the floor. Like after I paid for VIP she disappeared for like 15 min. Management had to go get her. Then once in VIP she dipped out again saying she forgot something. By the time we got started the damn bouncer came in and said time is up. I was surprised and didn't feel like causing a scene because I didn't even get time with her. So best of luck if you decide to go for it.

So apparently SRCOI has new rules for dancers that have the girls up in a tizzy. If a girl doesn't make her quota on a shift she gets "written up" and if this happens five times she gets fired. To me this is obviously a response to the fact that the club has to pay the dancers whether they're selling dances or not. We'll see if they follow through with this and fire a bunch of dancers or if any quit preemptively (which some are claiming on IG that they're going to.).

I'm under no illusions that certain days / nights will be harder based on how many willing customers show up. (Speaking of which, anybody notice Saturday nights at SR have like, 4-5 dancers lately?) I'm of the opinion that dancers will avoid slow shifts and hustle even harder on busy shifts = better for the customer. Hell, maybe over time to overcome the slow shifts, management may introduce a special better than Thursdays 30 min for $140 to entice more customers. Wishful thinking I suppose LOL. I mean that's the logical thing to do. But then again when has management been logical hehe.

It's probably only a few girls in danger of not selling the daily minimum. Club mgmt knows some girls who sit around just need a few whales as regulars who tip them ridiculous amounts on a shift. So there is less incentive to sell dances to customers who don't tip as much. Basically the club wants its cut of their extras tips but they can't actually say that without admitting they are essentially running a whorehouse.

This has happened to me with others in the past with the girl disappearing or majorly cutting time. A couple times mgmt offered a VIP with another girl as a makeup. I was willing to make a bit of a scene as I was pissed. Later learned they were known ROBs. Thankfully both are gone (Janelle, Dutchess).
I've had her twice (Pixie) First time I had her was for $$. Second time she quoted me $$ and 1/2. However, the second time she was intoxicated and scammed me. Manager should've taken her off the floor. Like after I paid for VIP she disappeared for like 15 min. Management had to go get her. Then once in VIP she dipped out again saying she forgot something. By the time we got started the damn bouncer came in and said time is up. I was surprised and didn't feel like causing a scene because I didn't even get time with her. So best of luck if you decide to go for it.

After our 3 songs were up, I agree to the VIP (Wednesday special). She took my hand and walked me directly to the VIP, which I thought was strange. She told me "$80 VIP". I told her I need to pay with my CC. She took my hand and walked me to the server and told her "$80 VIP". With CC service charge it was $88 total for a 15-minute VIP. So far so good; right? Wrong!
After I paid, we went to the VIP and she then asked if I was going to use the ATM for her $200 tip. Seriously? After I paid for the VIP and while the clock was ticking, she now wants to negotiate the tip. I told her I don't have my ATM card and I don't want to charge my CC again. I told her all I have is $40 cash. She then said, "Sorry; no VIP". Now at this point I know I cannot get a refund on my $88 especially since we burned 5 minutes negotiating. To salvage my $88, I went back to the cashier and caved. Told them to charge the $200 to my CC ($220 total with service charge. Now I just spent $308. Secondly, it's always best to be clear about what you expect and for how much in the VIP. As an example, last time I was there in a Wednesday, I just told the girls straight up that all I had was 80 bucks, and I just kept saying I wouldn't be able to tip. For one girl, that was enough to get her closer to her obligatory $180 threshold the club requires, and I got a CBJ. No dancing, just straight business. The time before that, the girl promised a good time, and I didn't negotiate. Things got hot and at the end she asked if I had a tip for her so I have like 25 bucks (which was low, I know). Second time with her, I told I had 80 for the VIP and could tip 80, and she said she was cool with that, so we went to the back and got the full service. Long story short, never use a card, always make clear how much you're willing to spend and reiterate that you won't be able to give them any more on top of that number (whatever you're comfortable with). Also, it's good to establish a vibe with them. Don't always go for the hottest chick; go with the one that's trying the hardest. Call your credit card and ask for a chargeback on the $220 and say you already paid which you did. For the club to fight it they will have to specify exactly what the service provided was. FYI you can always walk out early on a VIP to complain to mgmt that the girl refuses to dance. They may or may not offer a replacement VIP.

$20 for cover, $1 tip to front desk bouncer. These guys usually rotate positions throughout the night so I like to have good rapport with all of them.
$8 for the forced water + $2 tip to the waitress. Never sit down in one of the chairs or stools, always be standing. This way you can position yourself near your dancer of choice if she's standing near the bar or the ATM, you can walk away from a dancer who's annoying, etc. Also I'm fat so when I sit down I look fatter LOL. When I stand I look halfway decent (remember, hygiene and looks still matter to these dancers, they ain't robots.).
$120 for the 15-min VIP in the back + $100 tip in a band of 1's. It's a lot more visually impactful to see 100 bills VS. 1 hundred dollar bill. If you get pushback when you say "I only got $100" and you just whip out the stack. Your chances dramatically improve from my experience.
$20 + $1 + $8 + $2 + $120 + $100 = $251 in bills in your wallet / pocket. Whenever you open your wallet to pay for the VIP or to pay the waitress, you want to make sure the dancer sees you only have that amount and no credit cards (remember, they're in your car.) This will mitigate her trying to hold out for more, when she sees there is no more.
Remember, it's okay to walk away and go home empty-handed if none of the girls want to play ball. "The strongest negotiating tactic is to be able to walk away and mean it." If all else fails, you paid $31 to see some boobs and butt cheeks, and practiced your negotiating skills. And you got to spend a few hours away from your ugly wife LOL. That's a win in my book. You live to fight another day. Trust me, you'll feel better with a fatter wallet than a contrite, rushed experience.
*Pro-Tip* I keep an extra $200 in 20's in my sock. These are for the super rare occasions when a super hot dancer is just feeling you for whatever reason, would never look your direction except for that moment, and you're feeling extra frisky yourself. I've probably used this maybe 5 times during my entire strip club experience.

Good advice, everyone. Of course it was avoidable, as they say hindsight is 20/20 vision, a lesson learned none the less. A $300 lesson learned. I don't like using CC, and definitely not using debit cards; I prefer using cash and keep cash in my pocked to avoid pulling out my wallet. Again in hindsight. She took me directly to the VIP without going to the cashier and only said $80. Sure. I'm OK with an $80 VIP w / o extras. It wasn't until we returned to the VIP when she demanded a $200 TIP (TIP or nothing). She knew she had me because my choices were: $200 VIP, keep negotiating and burn the clock, or risk losing my $80 entirely and maybe try and negotiate with management for another dancer in the VIP. To save time and hassle, I just caved in and paid the $200. Then she kept demanding more money even after she finally did the VIP. It's a good club, but not going near that chick again.

It seems there is a big influx of new Black dancers into COI clubs these days. King told many tales on these boards but I mostly believed him and found similar experiences. It's hard to believe any dancer at a COI club would be 100% absolutely no extras. Especially when you're hot enough to work a non nude club like Kendall. I've done the doored rooms 4 or 5 times, curtained rooms more than a dozen times. I never noticed having a better experience in the doored rooms, in fact at least half were disappointing. My hypothesis is that dancers who may not do extras or demand outrageous tips and hence get turned down a lot gravitate towards the doored rooms, as their 50% of the higher doored room rate and shorter time. With at least one dancer, I did both types and again the curtained room was the better experience. I find the ambience of the doored rooms a little too closed off, even though I generally prefer quiet places. I've had super crazy everything goes experiences in the curtained rooms. But to each their own.

Depends I guess. Rhino Rooms have more space, a mirror so you can enjoy the view twice as much, and adjustable lighting. The one thing that is a deal-breaker for me is the fact that the door has a window that people outside can look in. The curtains do not. 2. Take only "discretionary funds" and expect every cent will be spent. I keep a monthly running total of strip club expenses, so I know if I need to slow down.
3. Break up your cash & hide it, so you can access only agreed sums without showing it all. Other compartments of your wallet, side pockets, socks, the "prison wallet" haha.
4. Only show, until they go. Don't pay in advance. Don't give your license or keys as security. They can sic the bouncer or blackball you from the club if you don't pay; what have you got if they don't deliver as promised? "I paid for illegal services she didn't deliver"?
5. If someone manages to rip you off (even for just the VIP charge in the no-delivery scenario), come on here and name names. Forewarned is forearmed, and it's the best revenge you're going to get.
At some point in the past I made every mistake on this list; but only once each. Except VIP charge ROBs, you can't prevent that, you can just get back at them after the fact. The plaza with the gates sometimes up and down, that's a different story. I've heard of customers coming in when gates were up, around 1 am the gates came down and got stuck until 10 am LOL.

Especially at Synn where few guys sit and tip at the tip rail, or just do it for one girl they like, I've not had trouble getting a girl to come over. I just tip them during stage. Depending how a girl does and how much I appreciate her, I throw $5-$15. I'm not expecting anything because I also want to see if she wants to come over. I've dodged a bullet if she doesn't.

That's 60%-70% unless she's getting large tips. Which is exactly why most girls don't make the SR cut, but the ones who can get those tips stay. Here's the thing about the Icebox. I know a few girls who do extras and they literally cannot do them in the Icebox. They do them in regular dances where the cameras have a blind spot. You can literally sit near the security booth and SEE the icebox security feeds. So light extras nobody cares about but nobody is having sex there. They're having sex in regular dances when nobody else is checking (Mon-Thu or dayshift basically).

I showed up for day shift, which is very rare, and decided to observe these 3 dancers and took one for the team. They all try to have the same customers to dance with at least 2 of them. Some dudes do fall for it. In my case I went straight to VIP with Adore when she greeted me. Synn Beverly Hills on La Cienega (actually not in BH, but plain old LA) used to be known as Star Strip. It was a dump. A sunken center stage, a 2nd shower stage that never got used. Unfortunately the world is a very different place now than 10 years ago. These kind of easy, reasonable professional interactions are fewer and farther between today.
At the time when I got VIP from Paris 10 or so years ago, she seemed to be really trustworthy at the time. It was on a Sunday morning when I saw her and there was hardly any customers in the club. She sat down and began talking activities we could do in VIP. I asked her how did I know I was not going to get ripped off, and she said I could tip her when when we were finished.
