It may you leave you longing for the shit show that is the Madison escort scene. The only decent hotel really near the loops is the the Fairfield on Miller Parkway and National. There's a crappy but safe Best Western on about 55th and National across from the VA Hospital. The Hampton Inn across from State Fair Park at about 80th and Greenfield is safe, fairly reasonable and 10 minutes from the loop.
