I prefer lotion myself because it provides the right balance of glide vs. Traction. You need the glide so you don't get that burning sensation from the constant rubbing, however you also need a small amount of traction if they are really working a certain area. To me oil is too slick. Hard for the girl to apply any real pressure to an area without slipping and sliding.This is kinda what I was thinking too.
